Introducing Dr Gemma Newman

I am so, SO incredibly excited to announce that we have our very first Brand Ambassador on board!

The lovely and super talented Dr Gemma Newman AKA @plantpowerdoctor is joining as our resident doctor and will be helping us to provide our amazing community with qualified, expert-led guidance around skin and gut health. Dr Gemma has a huge passion for holistic health and I couldn’t think of a better person to work with us on this because we share so many of the same values!

Dr Gemma is a NHS doctor, international speaker and author. She has worked in medicine for 20 years and is the Senior Partner at a family medical practice, and has a specialist interest in holistic health, plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine.

In her practice, Dr Gemma has come to understand that body, mind and soul are not separate. With a similar outlook to me, Gemma is passionate about a holistic approach to healing from the inside out - looking at diet, sleep, stress, exercise and educating people around how focusing on these key pillars can allow people to take control of their own health and wellbeing.

Dr Gemma is also amazing and informative to listen to and regularly appears on some of the UK's most popular health and wellbeing podcasts, including Dr Rangan Chatterjee's 'Feel Better, Live More', Deliciously Ella's 'Wellness with Ella' and Rhiannon Lambert's 'Food for Thought'.

Another passion of Gemma's is planetary health, and she speaks on this topic at length, including a debate at Imperial College and was also one of the experts featured in the documentary film 'Eating Our Way to Extinction', narrated by Kate Winslet, and continues to be featured across many TV and radio shows.

Dr Gemma has also written two books to high acclaim, focusing on treating mind, body and soul to beat illness.

We are so thrilled to have Dr Gemma on board with us and our main aim is to ensure our community and customers have access to expert-led, researched information around gut health and holistic health, and the impact that this can ultimately have on our skin wellbeing. Gemma will be doing monthly social content for us (take a look at our recent Instagram Live together) as well as keeping us updated on a whole host of skin-related topics right here on the blog.

Welcome to the team Dr Gemma!
